We also enjoyed our conversations over lunch and during the one hour drive to/from Prague to Kutna Hora during which we all shared our own family's and country's history which was equally fascinating. I rarely write reviews unless the experience was exceptional, and the Kutna Hora tour was that and more, all in all a 'perfect day'!

The drive between each location was a couple of hours — and we... read more had no problem filling the time with interesting conversation about the Czech history, the wild 90s after communism fell, and his favorite Prague historic sites. Czesky Krumlov was beautiful—and Michal shared historic stories and details about the castle, its grounds and the surrounding town. He took us to lunch along the river at a former Medieval home turned restaurant. He even stopped at a bakery on the way out of town so that we could compare kolaches, a native Czech treat we also eat at home in Texas. His van was impeccably clean and comfortable.

Michal had several... read more great suggestions for fitting everything in, including lengthening the trip and ordering ahead so that when we arrived at his favorite restaurant our food was ready. We wanted to see the baroque theater and the main castle, so Michal arranged for two tours at Cesky Krumlov castle. They were both great. We then enjoyed a delicious lunch, walked around the town, and stopped at Konopiste castle for another wonderful tour on our way back to Prague. The 11-hour day flew by, since Michal is very engaging, friendly, knowledgeable, and fun to talk to. The following day we took another tour with Michal to Kutna Hora, which was equally wonderful. Both tours were definite highlights of our time in the Czech Republic. I highly recommend taking tours with Michal!
