Above and beyond! – Our guide for our private day trip tour of Kutná Hora, Peter, was awesome! Incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the town, he pointed out stories/facts we wouldn’t have learned… read more otherwise, and we genuinely enjoyed getting to know him over the course of the day.
In fact, we enjoyed our tour with Peter so much that we booked a last minute tour with him to Terezín later in our trip. Both tours were highlights of our time in the Czech Republic.
If you’re looking for a private tour that feels personal, relaxed, and insightful, we would highly recommend booking with Michal & Peter. Communication was great, the car ride was very comfortable, and we will definitely be reaching back out to them when we come back to visit other areas nearby Prague!

He… read more drove us 75 minutes to Kutra Hora from Prague. He was a safe driver, no jerks or sudden moves. He timed everything perfectly to coincide with church openings so there was no wait. His cadence of the tour was exactly what we wanted. He has a wealth of knowledge about everything in the area, feeding us interesting tidbits of information we wouldn’t likely know. We learned alot with him as our guide. Snd his English is impecable. He is highly recommended.

Excellent local guide for custom tour – Michal is a great host and guide for visiting Prague. I had a very limited amount of time and we managed to see so much. More importantly Michal’s local and… read more historical knowledge was such an asset. From initial request for availability to meet up coordination Michal was professional and thorough. I am happy to wander though cities on my own sometimes but I would have missed so many facts and stories if I had done that. I highly recommend Michal.

Nice views – Ok, there is a funicular to go uphill. If you have a ticket for the local buses, trams and the metro (it must be a minimum 24h ticket ..not the… read more usual ones) you can use the funicular with it. But: we could not as it is under construction. Anyway, walk uphill. The funicular should be on your left side. This way is easy and you have lovely views sober Prague and Prague Castle.
At some point you can cross the funicular through an tunnel/bridge like structure. Follow the path all the way up to a big wall. Find a gate through it and you will end up on a lookout spot with benches and trees. Awesome views.
On the way back make sure to have sturdy shoes as the paths are sometimes blocked due to the construction work. There are unfortunately no signs or hints which way down is not blocked. So sometimes you need to climb downhill or walk through bushes when you miss the crossing spot on your way down. It was fun anyway. In summer certainly a sweaty climb. So take water with you.
